I'm JAMES. Founder, Designer, Firefighter.

Hi, I'm James Black, Owner & Creative Director of BLK BRANDING, a full-service design studio in Reading, MA. I specialize in creating strong, impactful brand identities and websites for small businesses. From custom logos to complete branding kits, website design, and social media design, I provide everything you need to help your business thrive.

With over a decade of experience, my design journey started with creating small business brands for VistaPrint, which led to working on corporate brands like Life is Good, J.Jill, and Athenahealth. After years of balancing a side business, I took the leap—leaving my corporate job to become a firefighter and focus full-time on helping local businesses grow through creative design.

Today, I split my time serving a nearby community as a firefighter and designing brands that make a lasting impression.
